Shark Tank India season 4 continues to impress viewers with groundbreaking ideas, exciting pitches, intense negotiations and high-stakes deals. In the business reality show, entrepreneurs are stepping in to secure an investment from the esteemed panel of sharks. The season is keeping audiences hooked with the interesting episodes and the latest episode was no different. On March 7, Chandigarh-based entrepreneurs and friends Sachin and Dheeraj introduced their startup, Zingavita Ayurveda, to the panel of ‘sharks.’

Explaining their health and wellness brand, the creative minds revealed that their startup aims to improve the quality of life of consumers with high-quality supplements. The entrepreneurs stated that their hero products are pure Himalayan shilajit, shilajit honey, shilajit effervescent tablets and coffee.

With their brand, they wanted to remove the taboos around Shilajit that it is taken by males only for sexual wellness. For their business, the founders sought an investment of Rs 1 crore in exchange for 1.25 per cent equity.

Moving on, the pitchers offered their products to all the sharks and Ritesh Agarwal was the first one to share the feedback. Checking the MRP, he expressed that the product is very expensive. Vineeta Singh, on the other hand, asks the pitchers about consumption.

Stepping into the conversation, boAt Lifestyle founder Aman Gupta lifts the products in his hands and tells pitchers, “Aap ne sab Shilajit banaye hain, shilajit shilajit… (You have made everything from Shilajit).”

Responding to the question, one of the pitchers suggests the shark try the Shilajit honey. Gupta immediately replies, “Ye humein nahi zaroorat (I don’t need this),” and passes a sarcastic laugh.

The pitchers then stated that this is the perception they wish to change. Shark Aman then questioned why the wellness sector had suddenly shifted towards pushing Shilajit. The pitchers explained that the product was successful in the United States and as a result, India saw a demand for the product.

Namita Thapar then asks the pitchers if they have conducted clinical testing on their products to back up their claims. The pitchers’ response disappoints her, as they attempt to explain that Indians are already aware of the benefits of Shilajit and that they are not the first brand to present the product to the market.

To this, Kunal Bahl hits at them, saying, “Aapko lagta hain ye saman bik raha hai market mein toh hum bhi bech le (So you thought since the product is selling in the market, let us also sell the same product).”

After the conversation, neither their numbers nor brand story could impress the Sharks and they went back without securing a deal.
