Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shilpa Shirodkar recently had a wonderful reunion with the filmmaker and choreographer, Farah Khan. Shilpa hosted Farah for her YouTube vlog, marking an exciting catch-up after their previous collaborations. Following their meeting, the actress shared heartwarming pictures on social media. In the first snap, Shilpa and Farah beamed with joy, sharing a side hug that radiated pure positivity, leaving fans in awe.
The second picture featured Chum Darang making a charming appearance, with Shilpa holding Farah close while Chum stood alongside them in a maroon knitted top and brown pants, accessorised with a crossbody bag. Shilpa, dressed in a traditional printed dress, opted for minimal makeup and accessories to keep things simple and elegant. Farah, too, embraced a casual look in a co-ord set featuring a stylish kurta and pants.
Along with the photos, Shilpa added a playful caption, “When Farah Khan is around, you know it’s going to be a ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ kind of day! Love you, Farah, you’re the best. Loved catching up with you! Guess what’s gonna cook?”
Did you know Shilpa Shirodkar was the first choice of Farah Khan for the iconic song Chaiyya Chaiyya from Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dil Se? The part eventually went to Malaika Arora and Shilpa’s weight was said to be the reason behind the same. The actress, during a candid conversation with Chum Darang and Karan Veer Mehra inside the Bigg Boss 18 house, revealed Farah had asked her to lose weight for the role. Recounting how the filmmaker bluntly told her the reason, Shilpa confirmed to had been told that she was ‘fat for the song.’
Recently, Farah Khan also talked about Shilpa Shirodkar’s replacement for the song when she got together with Karan Veer Mehra for her other blog. While interacting with the Bigg Boss 18 winner, she made the revelation. Farah said that she wanted to cast Shilpa instead of Malaika Arora. In her words, “I came to Shilpa to ask her for ‘Chhaiya Chhaiya.’ But something must have happened to her because, at that time, she was at least 100 kg. So I thought, ‘How will she get on the train?’ And if she gets on, where will Shah Rukh stand?”
Farah Khan, Shilpa Shirodkar and Chum Darang previously united for a party at the filmmaker’s house last month.
