Watch: Maha Kumbh pilgrims stuck in 10 km traffic jam in Bihar

NEW DELHI: Several pilgrims travelling to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh have been caught in a nearly 10-km-long traffic jam in Rohtas district, Bihar on Tuesday.
Many people are forced to walk long distances, facing severe hardships.
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari criticised the situation, stating, “People are being forced to walk 15 to 20 km. Women, children, and elders are struggling to reach the junction. They don’t know what to do.”
He urged the government to deploy buses and provide free transport to assist the stranded devotees. Authorities have yet to respond to the crisis.
Earlier in the day, the Prayagraj administration issued a comprehensive traffic advisory in preparation for the Magh Purnima Snan on 12 February.
The advisory aims to ensure smooth movement and safety for devotees, addressing the significant traffic congestion experienced during the event.
