JioCinema and Disney+Hotstar have finally merged and have been launched as JioHotstar in India. With the platform going live on Friday, February 14, one can now stream content from both the previous platforms under one brand, along with some new exciting shows. From reality shows to intense web series, the new OTT platform promises non-stop entertainment. Here’s a list of some of the must-watch shows on JioHotstar.
Engaged: Roka Ya Dhoka?
Hosted by actress Urofi Javed and comedian Harsh Gujral, the dating reality show will test 10 contestants, who will undergo several “flirty tasks” and wild card twists to get engaged finally. The show will also judge the contestants based on compatibility, communication and commitment. Engaged is now streaming.
Game of Greed
Bigg Boss OTT 2’s Abhishek Malhan, aka Fukra Insaan, is hosting the game show, where two contestants are presented with large sums of money at a time. They have to “snatch or share” to win the game. The contestants can either share the money or eliminate each other to take home more.
Generation Aajkal
Hosted by YouTuber Shyam Sharma and Dhruv Shah, who are collectively called Funcho, Generation Aajkal will feature celebrity guests with their parents. On the show, the guests and the hosts will discuss the differences between the generations, highlighting how things have changed over the years.
Hafta Vasooli
Starring comedian Munawar Faruqui, Hafta Vasooli is a satirical newsroom comedy. On the show, the comedian promises to give the viewers a “sensible news bulletin and debate,” blending comedy with current affairs. It will also feature some celebrity guests.
Ishq Interrupted
If you are into dating shows, then Aaditya Kulshreshth, aka Kullubaaazi-hosted Ishq Interrupted, is the perfect choice. On the show, strangers will go on dates, but there is a catch. They will be interrupted and will be challenged to perform various tasks.
