VIZIANAGARAM: In an unconventional approach towards instilling discipline among his students, the headmaster of a govt school in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district did squats during the morning assembly.
With everyone watching in silence, he even prostrated before the students, asking them to mend their ways and improve their academic performance.
The incident transpired at the Zilla Parishad High School, Penta village of Bobbili mandal in Vizianagaram district.
The video of the headmaster Chinta Ramana prostrating went viral on social media on Thursday. Expressing his displeasure over the poor performance and indiscipline of the students and lack of attentiveness in class.
Blaming himself and others for the poor performance of the student, Rama- na performed Sashtanga Namaskar (touching his body to the ground) and squats before the students. He also requested the parents of the students to keep an eye on their children’s behaviour and academic performance.
