Tata Motors enters Sri Lankan market with Punch, Nexon, Curvv and Tiago EV


  • Apart from showcasing its electric vehicle lineup, the brand also launched its range of SUVs and an electric hatchback.

Tata Motors has announced that they are entering Sri Lankan market. They have chosen Dimo as sole authorized distributor for Tata Motors in Sri Lanka. Tata is launching the Punch, Nexon and Curvv along with Tiago EV in the country. Both companies also took this opportunity to showcase Tata Motors’ strong EV portfolio with an exclusive preview of the Punch EV, Nexon EV and the Curvv EV. The prices of Tata cars in Sri Lanka start at LKR 8.7 Mn.

Tata Punch

The Punch is the most affordable SUV that the brand sells. It is a micro-SUV that is offered only with a petrol engine. In the Indian market, there is also a CNG powered version available and there was also a flex-fuel powered version that was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Tata Nexon is one of the most popular sub-4 metre compact SUV in the Indian market. It is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Nexon is also known to be the first 5-star rated car by Global NCAP and it is one of the safest vehicles that a person can buy in India.

Tata Curvv is the latest vehicle from the brand. It shares its underpinnings with the Nexon and sits below the Harrier in the lineup. The Curvv is essentially a Nexon with a coupe-SUV body shape. It is equipped with two petrol engines and a diesel engine.

The Tiago EV recently got an update with new features and cosmetic upgrades as well. It is the most affordable electric vehicle that Tata Motors sells in the Indian market.
