Shark Tank India 4 continues to attract audiences with exciting pitches, innovative startups and engaging business discussions. In a recent episode, the founders of Bambinos, a startup focused on improving English and communication skills, entered the tank seeking Rs 1 crore for 1 per cent equity.
Their mission struck a chord with Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart, who shared his connection to the cause. He revealed that he dedicates his evenings to teaching college students struggling with English and communication skills.
Highlighting the importance of effective communication in securing jobs, Peyush said, “I’ve seen many students struggle with English and I teach them in the evenings. Strong communication skills are crucial for employment, yet many students in schools and universities face challenges that limit their opportunities.”
As the episode moved forward, Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of People Group), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals) and Ritesh Agarwal (CEO of OYO) saw potential in Bambinos and teamed up to make an offer. They requested Rs 1 crore for 1.5 per cent equity and 1 per cent royalty until Rs 1 crore is repaid. Following careful thought, the entrepreneurs locked the deal, marking another exciting and significant investment in Shark Tank India 4.
Earlier this season, Peyush Bansal made history by signing the biggest cheque in all the past seasons of Shark Tank India. He acquired a controlling stake in NOOE, a premium lifestyle and accessories brand for a whopping Rs 5 crore for 51 percent.
After signing the deal, Peyush said, “This is more than just a deal; it marks the start of an amazing journey. Shark Tank India has been a wonderful platform for companies like ours, allowing entrepreneurs to dream big and achieve more.”
Peyush has been a part of Shark Tank India ever since the premiere of its first season in 2021. Currently, the show streams on Sony LIV from Monday to Friday at 8 PM.
