Rupali Ganguly, the lead actress of Anupamaa, recently took a break from her busy shooting schedule to seek spiritual solace at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Accompanied by her husband, Ashwin Verma, and their son, Rudransh, she participated in sacred rituals, including a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and attending the aarti with spiritual leaders.
Upon her return to Mumbai, Rupali was spotted at the airport carrying several bottles of gangajal. Engaging with photographers, she playfully remarked that she would cleanse everyone’s sins. Reflecting on her visit, the actress described it as a deeply positive experience and urged others to visit the Mahakumbh before it concludes on February 26.
When asked about her kumbh experience, she responded positively saying, “Aap sabhi ko jaana chahiye. Gangajal leke aayi hun, sabke paap dhoungi. (You all should visit. I have brought gangajal, I will wash everyone’s sins).” She also mentioned that airlines are allowing passengers to carry holy water on flights and told everyone to bring it. Before moving forward, the actress posed with her husband for the photographers and said, “Jai Mahakal.”
Earlier, Rupali Ganguly posed with Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, during the Mahakumbh Aarti. He also shared some other pictures with the actress on Instagram and wrote, “Rupali Ganguly, who plays the lead role in the popular TV show Anupamaa, visited the Parmarth Niketan camp at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. She participated in the divine Sangam Aarti in the presence of Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, experiencing a beautiful and spiritual atmosphere.”
For the past week months, Anupamaa witnessed a dip in TRP, and speaking about the same, producer Rajan Shahi in an interview with Times Now said, “TRP matters to everyone, right from actors to caterers. People often say that TRPs don’t matter to them. TRP matters to me, but I also believe in offering good content. DKP always believes in focusing on limited shows to enhance the quality of them. YRKKH has witnessed a lot of ups and downs. The ups and downs in the graph are very organic.”
Other than Rupali Ganguly, several well-known television stars, including Shivangi Joshi, Siddharth Nigam and Sourabh Raaj Jain, among others, were also seen visiting the Mahakumbh 2025 to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
