Rupali Ganguly Celebrates Sunita Williams’ Safe Return To Earth: ‘Welcome Back’

After an extended nine-month stay in space, NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has safely returned to Earth alongside Butch Wilmore. Originally planned as a short mission, unforeseen propulsion issues with their spacecraft extended their time in orbit. Following her safe arrival, heartfelt messages have been pouring in from all sides. As celebrities celebrate the astronauts’ remarkable achievement, Rupali Ganguly also joined in, resharing a clip featuring Sunita Williams on her Instagram Stories.

The clip was originally shared by R Madhavan on Instagram. A message accompanying the post on Instagram Stories wrote, “Welcome back dearest Sunita Williams.”

Earlier, R Madhavan expressed his joy at seeing Sunita Williams safe and smiling. Sharing a video along with a heartfelt note, he perfectly captured his emotions, calling it God’s grace and the power of millions of prayers. His caption read, “Our prayers have been answered… so wonderful to see you safe and smiling. After more than 260 uncertain days in space, this is all God’s grace and millions of praying souls’ prayers being answered.”

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi also could not contain his excitement as he called Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore’s return both historic and heroic in a post shared on X. The actor, in a note, shared that the mission, originally planned for eight days, was extended to 286 days with 4,577 orbits around the Earth. He penned, “HISTORIC & HEROIC ‘HOME’ COMING!!! Went for 8 Days to Space & Returned after 286 Days, after an Astonishing 4577 orbits around earth.”

He did not stop there and went on to describe the journey as “dramatic, nerve-wracking, and thrilling,” further referring to it as the “greatest adventure ever.” In his heartfelt post, the actor also showered praises on SpaceX Dragon and Crew-9 for their successful attempt to bring the astronaut back home.

Reportedly, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore landed off Florida’s coast upon their return to Earth. The duo initially embarked on a short test mission in June 2023, but due to propulsion issues, their stay was unexpectedly prolonged.
