Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, one of the longest-running Hindi sitcoms on national television, has grabbed the audience’s attention with its hilarious scenes, funny dialogues and cast performances. Recently, during an interview, Rohitashv Gour, who plays Manmohan Tiwari in the popular show, shared his experience of working in the sitcom and talked about why it still holds a special place in the hearts of fans,

Talking to TellyChakkar, the actor said, “Yeh comedy hai, Aaj main Subha Allu Arjun bana hua tha, poora wahi get up aur wo hum funny scenes kar rhe the. Aur kal main Commissioner bana tha aur Aasif ji (Sheikh) bhi kaafi saare character karte rehte hain. To ek maza hai, ek thrill hai kuch naya karne ka har kahaani mein isiliye shayad iska tartamya bana hua hai. Warna bohot mushkil ho jaata hai, stale ho jaate. (It is comedy. This morning I was dressed as Allu Arjun (Pushpa’s look) and we were doing funny scenes. Similarly, yesterday I was dressed as a Police commissioner and even Aasif (Sheik) also plays different characters. So there is fun, a thrill in doing something new in every story, that is probably why its consistency remains. Otherwise, it would’ve been very difficult and become stale).”

Apart from him, the show also features actor Aasif Sheikh, Shubhangi Atre and Vidisha Srivastava in lead roles. It revolves around two neighbouring couples, the Mishras and the Tiwaris, where the husbands are drawn to each other’s wives and attempt various, eventually fruitless, but funny ways to impress them.

Produced under the banner of Edit II Productions, the show went on air in 2015 and premiers from Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm on &TV.

Other than this, Rohitashv Gour is known for his performances in TV shows like Lapataganj, Hum Aapke Hain In Laws, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family and Chidiya Ghar among others. He has also appeared in several big-budgeted films including Dunki, PK, A Wednesday, Munna Bhai MBBS, Kya Kehna, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Matrubhoomi, Pinjar and others.
