Rashami Desai has joined the cast of the popular show Wagle Ki Duniya: Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, stepping into the role of Meenakshi Kapoor—an intelligent and determined woman whose arrival brings an emotional twist to the Wagle family’s life. She initially introduces herself as a distant relative, but soon, her true connection to little Kittu (Mahi Soni) is revealed—Meenakshi is, in fact, Kittu’s biological mother.
Speaking about her new role, Rashami shared with Pinkvilla, “I’ve always been drawn to characters that leave a lasting impact, full of emotions and complexity. Meenakshi intrigued me because, despite having everything one could ask for, she carries an unshakable void—the pain of losing her child.”
Calling her experience on Wagle Ki Duniya “incredible”, Rashami added, “Her journey is filled with raw emotions, inner conflicts, and a hidden yearning that many viewers will find deeply moving. From the very beginning, the cast and crew have been so welcoming, making me feel like part of a family.”
Sumeet Raghavan, who plays Rajesh Wagle, praised Rashami’s performance, stating, “She is a phenomenal actor, and her presence adds an emotional depth to the storyline. Wagle Ki Duniya has always thrived on relatable and compelling narratives, and this track beautifully explores familial bonds beyond blood. Rashami’s performance is nothing short of outstanding.”
Apart from Rashami and Sumeet, the show features Pariva Pranati, Anjan Srivastav, Bharati Achrekar, and Chinmayee Salvi.
Catch Wagle Ki Duniya on Sony SAB, airing Monday to Saturday at 9 PM.
Talking about Rashami, she has also appeared in shows like Uttaran, Meet Mila De Rabba, Naagin 6, Ishq Ka Rang Safed and reality shows like Bigg Boss 13, Nach Baliye 7, The Khatra Khatra Show and others.
