KOCHI: The judicial first-class magistrate court in Palakkad issued a non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) against Yoga guru Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna, as they failed to appear in court on Feb 1. The warrant was regarding a criminal case filed against them for allegedly publishing misleading medical advertisements.
The court earlier issued bailable warrants but as they failed to appear, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant to secure their presence on Feb 15.
The case was filed by the drugs inspector against Divya Pharmacy, an affiliate of Patanjali Ayurved. Ramdev is the co-founder of the pharmacy and Balakrishna is the managing director. tnn
