Ektaa Kapoor recently announced Naagin Season 7, nearly 18 months after the last installment went off-air.

One of the most successful and long-running shows, Naagin is finally returning with its much-anticipated Season 7, after nearly 18 months. Producer Ektaa Kapoor has announced the return of the popular supernatural franchise, confirming that the next season is already in the works. Tejasswi Prakash starrer Naagin 6 went off-air in 2023, leaving fans eagerly waiting for the next instalment.
Ektaa Kapoor shared the exciting news on Instagram with a video, showing her discussing the show with her team.
While brainstorming over the ideas for a new story and cast, Ektaa teased something even more grand than before.
Following the announcement, speculations have been rife about the leading lady for Naagin Season 7 or as Ektaa Kapoor said, the “sarva sarva, very very shreshth, super shreshth Naagin.” Fans have already gotten into making their guesses about the next shape-shifting serpent with the names of TV celebs like Shivangi Joshi, Chaahat Pandey, and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary making the rounds. And it seems they have already got an answer.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary recently shared a post on her Instagram stories that left many convinced about her casting in Naagin 7. The post featured Priyanka posing for a mirror selfie with her phone in focus. It was the eye-catching phone cover with a snake design that left fans guessing.
Many shared the picture across social media handles, voicing their views on her post and excitement. A confirmation from the makers’ end or Priyanka herself is yet to be made.
Fans will have to wait for a few more days before a formal announcement or an introductory teaser is released from the channel.
Earlier in an interaction with Bollywood Life, the Bigg Boss 16 star had refuted the claims about her casting in the show. “I am not doing Naagin. The rumours have been making rounds since I came out of Bigg Boss 16. So now, I am clarifying that I’m not doing it,” Priyanka Chahar Choudhary said.
TheNaagin franchise began its first season in November 2015 featuring Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan in the lead roles. While Mouni reprised her character in the second season, the legacy was carried forward by actresses like Nia Sharma, Surbhi Jyoti, Hina Khan, Surbhi Chandna, and Tejasswi Prakash over the years.
