PM Internship Scheme registration deadline extended: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the registration deadline for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025 until April 22. Launched as part of the Union Budget 2024–25 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, this government-backed initiative aims to equip young individuals with practical industry exposure through internships with India’s top 500 companies. The programme offers a 12-month internship, out of which at least six months must be spent in a real work environment rather than classroom settings. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 along with a one-time grant of ₹6,000.
The scheme is open to candidates across all 730 districts of India, with renowned recruiters such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, L&T, and HDFC Bank on board. Applicants can choose and apply for up to three internship opportunities, and no registration or application fee is required.
