Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been a fan favourite show since its inception in 2020, with viewers enjoying its plot and cast performances. Recently, the makers introduced a time leap leading to a major cast change, aimed at adding freshness to the show. However, after the leap, the show failed to make it among the top 5 shows in the latest TRP report. Param Singh, who plays Dr Neelkant Rane recently opened up about the serial’s falling TRP ratings.
Talking to Pinkvilla, the actor said, “It doesn’t affect me directly but I can feel the anxiety and stress rising among those around me. I’m not concerned whether the TRP is high or poor because viewership and acceptance are beyond anyone’s control.”
He added, “When I’m emoting in a scene, I usually feel sad or happy. It did get the best of me in the beginning, but it no longer does because, in my opinion, ranking and TRPs are determined by viewer interest. “I can simply do my part as an actor.”
Furthermore, talking about his bond with his co-actors Sanam Johar and Vaibhavi Hankare. He shared, “I share a wonderful bond with both of them off-screen and I enjoy doing scenes with them. They take a fresh and real approach to work. They remain peaceful, open, and present throughout the scenes. Above all, they are genuine people and I am glad that I got the opportunity to work with them.”
After the leap, the current storyline of the show revolves around Dr Neelkant Rane (played by Param), Tejaswini (played by Vaibhavi) and Ruturaj (played by Sanam Johar).
In other news, Param revealed to Pinkvilla that he has rejected the offer of Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss several times. He stated, “It has been offered to me many times, but I do not see myself accepting it. Also, I believe I will be a poor casting choice for them because I am unable to produce content in accordance with the show’s format. I’m too reserved for it.”
Meanwhile, Param has appeared in several popular shows including Sadda Haq, Ghulaam, Mariam Khan Reporting Live, Haiwaan and Ishk Par Zor Nahi.
