The Oscars 2025 are eagerly awaited by fans across the globe. With an array of outstanding films in contention this year, excitement is building to see which ones secure a spot on the coveted nomination list. Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott will unveil the 97th Academy Awards nominations live on January 23 from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.
The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards will be live-streamed on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, and the Academy’s digital platforms. Fans can also tune in to the live announcement on the Academy’s YouTube channel and ABC-TV’s Good Morning America. Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott will reveal the nominees at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. PT. For Indian audiences, the announcement will be available at 7 PM IST.
The official social media handle of the Academy Awards announced the same via a special post featuring Bowen Yang and Rachel Sonnett’s pictures. “Meet this year’s #Oscars nominations hosts: Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott. Join us on Thursday, January 23rd, at 8:30 AM ET / 5:30 AM PT to see who is headed to the 97th Oscars. Stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, ABC, Hulu, Disney+ or the Academy’s TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook (sic),” the post read.
The Oscars nominations announcement, initially planned for January 17, was delayed to January 19 and later rescheduled to January 23 due to the Los Angeles wildfire. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar Nominees Luncheon, originally slated for February 10, has been cancelled. Additionally, the Scientific and Technical Awards, previously scheduled for February 18, have been postponed, with a new date yet to be announced.
Despite the delays, the 97th Academy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC-TV at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT and streamed online on Hulu.
