The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates appearing in the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2025. As per the notice, candidates must bring their original Aadhaar Card along with their admit card to the examination center for verification. Biometric verification will involve taking the candidate’s thumb impression multiple times.If the thumb impressions do not match, iris scanning will be conducted instead.
NIFT entrance exam 2025: Items allowed inside the exam hall
The following items are allowed inside the examination center:
- Personal transparent water bottle
- Admit Card along with a Self-Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4-size paper, duly filled in)
- An additional passport-size photograph for pasting on the Attendance Sheet
- Original valid ID proof
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, ruler (in a transparent pouch), and an A4 transparent acrylic board (for B Des/M Des candidates)
Candidates appearing for both the Bachelor of Design (B Des) and Master of Design (M Des) programs must bring two sets of Admit Cards to their respective examination centers.
Candidates must arrive at the exam center at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
NIFT entrance exam 2025: Details for PwD candidates
Candidates claiming relaxation under the PwD category must bring their PwD certificate issued by a competent authority. Candidates with physical disabilities are advised to report early to facilitate smooth entry.
A PwD candidate with a physical limitation to write who avails the facility of a scribe will be granted compensatory/extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, regardless of whether they use the scribe or not.
The facility of a scribe will be provided only if the candidate has a certified physical limitation that makes it essential for someone else to write on their behalf. This certification must be issued in the prescribed format by a CMO, Civil Surgeon, or Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
However, PwD candidates will not be provided a scribe for the Creative Ability Test (CAT).

- Bachelor of Design (B Des)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BF Tech)
- Master of Design (M Des)
- Master of Fashion Management (M FM)
- Master of Fashion Technology (M F Tech)
- NIFT Lateral Entry Admission (NLEA)- B Des and B F Tech
