Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, aka TMKOC, has been running for more than 15 years now. Premiered on July 28, 2008, the show is one of the longest-running sitcoms in the television world. It continues to captivate viewers from all walks of life with its engaging storyline, light-hearted comedy and likeable characters. In the show, Dilip Joshi, aka Jethalal Gada, and Disha Vakani, who played the role of Daya Gada, are the most liked characters. Their comic timings and on-screen chemistry have left fans laughing out loud for years.

Even today, the two remain the most talked-about characters who have a fan following not just among children but also a 108-year-old woman named Fuli Devi. Yes, we aren’t joking. Hailing from Rajasthan, the oldest fan of Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani travelled all the way to Mumbai to meet her favourite characters. As per Asian Age, the elderly woman started watching the show when she was 99 and had a ‘last wish’ to meet the actors personally.

In 2016, she set out with her family and visited Goregaon Film City in Mumbai. As soon as Dilip Joshi heard about her, he took time off from his busy schedule to meet her. The team made all the arrangements to facilitate the meeting and make it special.

When the actor met his oldest fan, he got emotional and touched the lady’s feet to seek her blessings. They had a lively and fun conversation where Dilip asked her about her health secrets and diet, making the moment even more special. The fan also got the opportunity to meet Disha Vakani. After spending a brief time with the actors, the elderly fan gave both Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani Rs 101 as ‘Shagun’ (good fortune).

In a conversation with the Asian Age, Dilip said, “This lady is a fine example of how to live life to the fullest. We have to learn from her. Aunty Fuli is very energetic at the age of 108. I hope she lives a longer and healthy life. The shagun will be cherished for as long as I live.”

Speaking about Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the sitcom has been the audience’s favourite for a long time. Starring Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Mandar Chandwadkar, Mumun Dutta, Munmun Dutta and others, the daily soap airs daily on Sony SAB TV from 8:30 PM to 9 PM.
