KAKINADA: A man in Andhra Pradesh killed his two young sons before taking his own life Friday, leaving behind a note expressing fears about their future in an increasingly competitive world, police said Saturday.
The tragedy was reported at Ramanayyapet in Kakinada. Police identified the man as Vanapalli Chandra Kishore, 31, an assistant with ONGC. Sons Joshith, 7, and Nikhil, 6, were Class I and upper kindergarten students at a private school.
Kishore and his wife Tanuja Sai Rani had celebrated Holi earlier in the day. He later took the kids home, telling his wife he was taking them to get their uniforms stitched on the way. When they did not return, she called him, receiving a message saying he would be back soon. Concerned, she went back home, only to find the door locked from inside. With help of locals, they forced it open and found Kishore had died by suicide, while the children were found in the bathroom.
