Happy Birthday Kiku Sharda: Raghvendra Amarnath Sharda, popularly known as Kiku Sharda, has carved a niche for himself in the world of comedy and entertainment. From his perfect comic timing to his crazy dance moves, the comedian has always made us roll on the floor laughing. He is best known for his funny roles in popular shows like The Kapil Sharma Show, The Great India Kapil Show, FIR, and several others. Born on February 14, 1976, the comedian belongs to a business family.

Kiku Sharda’s Journey
Born into a business family, Kiku was one of four brothers. He had an interest in acting from a young age and began his journey by participating in inter-college stage plays.
During his drama days, his friend Shakti Sagar offered him the role of Hobo in the fantasy show Hatim, which marked his small-screen debut in 2003. His performance as Hobo garnered him much appreciation from audiences, and after that, there was no looking back for the actor.
After Hatim, he appeared in several other TV shows and films such as the Zee TV serial Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, The Great Indian Comedy Show, Vicky and Vetaal and others. His career shot to fame after his appearance in the comedy serial FIR, in which he played Constable Gulgule. Kiku was a part of the show from 2006 to 2014.
Simultaneously, the comedian also tried his luck on the big screen and appeared in several films like Race, Darna Mana Hai, Phir Hera Pheri, Dhamaal, and others.
Kiku’s next breakthrough came in 2013 when he joined forces with comedian Kapil Sharma for the show Comedy Nights with Kapil, which became a huge hit. After that, Kiku entertained audiences with his amazing comic timing in shows like The Kapil Sharma Show, Family Time with Kapil, and The Great India Kapil Show.
As for his personal life, the comedian has been married to Priyanka Sharda for almost 23 years and they share two sons, Aryan Sharda and Shaurya Sharda.
Kiku Sharda’s TV Shows
- Hatim: Kiku made his television debut with the 2003 fantasy drama Hatim. Helmed by Amit Sagar, it was based on a Persian story recounting the adventures of Hatim al-Tai of the Tayyi tribe of Arabia. The show was a big hit and also featured stars like Rahil Azam and Pooja Ghai Rawal.
- FIR: This one still remains a fan favourite even after 11 years since it went off air. In the comedy show, Kiku played Constable Gulgule, and his fun banter with Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala (played by Kavita Kaushik) and Gopinath Gandotra (played by Gopi Bhalla) was loved by audiences.
- Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe: Kiku impressed his fans with his spectacular comic timing in the popular show Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe (2012-13), which was judged by Archana Puran Singh and Sohail Khan.
- Comedy Nights With Kapil: From 2013 to 2016, Kiku appeared in Kapil Sharma’s popular talk show Comedy Nights With Kapil, which was a big hit. In the show, he played various characters such as Palak, Lachcha, Pankhudi, Pam, and others.
- The Kapil Sharma Show: After wrapping up Comedy Nights With Kapil, comedian Kapil Sharma launched The Kapil Sharma Show, but his entire team remained the same. Kiku was a part of all the seasons of the show and played various characters like Lottery, Santosh, Bachcha Yadav, and even Sunny Deol’s mimic. He was also part of both season of of Kapil Sharma’ new show on Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show.

- Race: In the Abbas-Mustan directorial, Kiku played the small role of Saif Ali Khan’s assistant.
- Dhamaal: Kiku appeared in a single scene in the 2007 comedy film, playing a police constable alongside Sanjay Dutt.
- Phir Hera Pheri: Although he had a small role in this iconic comedy film, it didn’t go unnoticed. He played Johnny Lever’s close ally in Phir Hera Pheri.
- Happy New Year: In this comedy-drama film, Kiku had a short cameo performance as a dance teacher.
- Jawaani Jaaneman: Released in 2020, the comedy-drama film featured Kiku as Dr Kriplani.

- Palak: How can we forget the hilarious duo of Palak and Guththi, played by Kiku and actor Sunil Grover in Comedy Nights With Kapil? This remains one of the best characters he has played on screen.
