The prestigious IIFA Awards 2025 recently took place in Jaipur, bringing together Bollywood’s biggest stars to celebrate 25 years of this iconic awards show. The grand event honored some of the industry’s finest talents and productions. Adding to the excitement, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, and several others delivered spectacular performances, creating a major buzz. Fans eager to witness the star-studded extravaganza can rejoice, as the televised broadcast of the event is set to air soon.
IIFA’s official Instagram handle announced about the broadcast in a joint post with ZEE TV. A preview for the show stated that it would be available to watch on ZEE TV on Sunday, March 16 at 8 p.m. The caption read, “Jaipur ko khushiyon aur jashn se rangne aa raha hai 25th IIFA awards bollywood sitaaron ke sang!” The OTT release date and platform are yet to be confirmed.
IIFA 2025 unfolded over two grand ceremonies in Jaipur on March 8 and 9. The IIFA Digital Awards were presented on Saturday, followed by the highly anticipated film awards ceremony on Sunday. The star-studded night on March 9 was hosted by Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, featuring unforgettable performances. Kareena Kapoor paid a heartfelt tribute to her legendary grandfather Raj Kapoor, while Shah Rukh Khan set the stage on fire with an electrifying act and a nostalgic reunion with Madhuri Dixit.
Laapataa Ladies dominated the night, securing 10 awards and cementing its status as one of the year’s most celebrated films. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan took home the Best Performance in a Leading Role (Male) award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, while Nitanshi Goel won in the Female category for Laapataa Ladies. The film also saw Pratibha Ranta bag the award for Best Debut.
On the other hand, the IIFA Digital Awards 2025 recognized the finest of streaming content. The popular rural dramedy Panchayat and Imtiaz Ali’s musical biography Amar Singh Chamkila stole the show. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon and Vikrant Massey had a mic-drop moment when they took home the top acting awards.
