Hina Khan’s fight against cancer has been nothing short of inspirational, with the actress remaining quite vocal about her journey. From sharing personal moments and milestones to documenting her treatment phase, Hina has shown a braver side to the world as she remains optimistic with her family and close ones by her side. The actress recently opened up about her parents, sharing her mother’s reaction to her pain. She also revealed how her late father would have reacted to her illness.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star recalled how her father was a soft-hearted person and would be very upset after seeing her in pain and illness. “During the COVID, my father panicked after one of our neighbours tested positive. But my mother is very headstrong. Sometimes, my mom and I would discuss how my father would have handled the situation if he were here. This is not something he could have made peace with,” she shared.
Hina also revealed how her father would treat her like a queen and which is why she believes God had other plans for him. “It’s better that he has not seen me like this. He would not have been able to see me,” she added. Hina shared how she often visualises her father and talks to him to get answers. The actress’ father passed away in April 2021 due to cardiac arrest. Hina often shares posts paying tributes to him and remembering their fond memories.
During the conversation, the actress also revealed how her mother cries secretly and has remained very strong. Mentioning that she is proud of her mother for being brave, Hina continued, “She shuts the balcony door and cries to herself. She even cries in front of me, but during the Namaz, she completely breaks down.”
