Harvard University recently announced its partnership with the QuestBridge National College Match Program, making it the final Ivy League institution to join. QuestBridge also revealed that Bates College and the University of Richmond have joined the program. With 55 college partners, QuestBridge connects top colleges and universities committed to providing accessible, life-changing opportunities to exceptional students, regardless of their financial circumstances.
What is the QuestBridge scholarship program?
The QuestBridge Scholarship program supports high-achieving, low-income students across the United States, making it one of the most sought-after need-based scholarships for high school students. However, securing the scholarship is highly competitive.
The program allows students to rank 10 to 12 colleges they would like to attend. Finalists are “matched” with one of these institutions and awarded full scholarships. Participating institutions include some of the nation’s most prestigious universities, such as Yale, Cornell, MIT, Princeton, and now Harvard.
In 2024, out of 25,500 applicants, 7,288 students were selected as finalists for the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. Of these, 2,627 finalists were matched with 52 participating college partners, marking the highest number of Match Scholarship Recipients in QuestBridge’s history.
Matched students are admitted early to their chosen QuestBridge college partners and receive full four-year scholarships funded by the institutions.
