Drashti Dhami is pulling out all the stops to thoroughly enjoy each and every moment of her journey as a mother. The television actress welcomed her first child, daughter Leela, with her husband Neeraj Khemka in October last year. Ever since then, she has never missed a chance to delight her fans by sharing some glimpses of her day-to-day life with her munchkin.
Likewise, on Thursday, March 20, the 40-year-old actress took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture where she was seen enjoying a boat ride with her fans. And the highlight of the post was that all four of them cradled their babies in their arms as they posed for the photo. In the picture, the women are seen sporting casual looks, with Drashti opting for a white shirt paired with shorts and sneakers.
Sharing the photo, the Madhubala actress wrote, “Speed boating away”, followed by a hatching chick emoticon and added 1 World, Bob Marley and Stefy De Cicco’s song, The Sun Is Shining, as the background score. She also tagged her friends in the post.
On the occasion of Holi, Drashti took to her Instagram account and shared a video celebrating her daughter Leela’s first one with great enthusiasm. In the clip, the actress could be seen grooving to the beats of the song Balam Pichkari from the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She held Leela in her arms affectionately and tried dancing to the peppy beats of the song.
The mother-daughter duo twinned in white ensembles for the festival. While the actress wore a white kurta adorned with multi-colour threadwork, she dressed her little one in a white frock with a green hair band. As the video played, Drashti addressed her viewers and wished them a very Happy Holi.
Drashti, who tied the knot with Neeraj Khemka in 2015, announced her pregnancy in June 2024. The actress, who is also an avid social media user, kept her fans updated about her pregnancy journey in the months leading up to giving birth to her daughter on October 10, 2024. The couple posted an adorable video on Instagram to announce her birth. Sharing the happy news on Instagram, the proud parents wrote, “She is here. 22.10.2024!” Almost a month later, Drashti and Neeraj revealed that they named their daughter Leela.
