Following the premiere of Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain, Diksha Dhami shared that she has been receiving love and support from fans.
Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain delves into the life of a kind village girl whose life takes a dramatic turn when she enters a luxurious haveli. Set in Rajasthan, the show, which premiered on January 27, has already captured viewers’ attention. The family drama follows Diksha Dhami’s character Chaina, the youngest daughter-in-law of the haveli, who has to deal with Chamkeeli, the eldest daughter-in-law, played by Ishita Ganguly. Following the premiere, Diksha claims she has been receiving love and support from fans. Despite her strong connection with Chaina, Diksha mentioned that she is actually very different from her character in real life.
Sharing her excitement about the role, the actress in an interview with ETimes said, “Fans are going to love Chaina. She’s street smart, witty and always full of surprises. It’s about a girl who’s full of life and does everything that her heart suggests her to do without overthinking about the situation. I’m personally very different from her but I’m sure fans will love her character in the show.”
Diksha Dhami feels glad for the amazing support she has received for playing Chaina in Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain. She’s also happy to bring such an interesting character to life. The small screen star believes that the surprises and challenges that Chaina faces, will keep viewers hooked.
While Diksha’s character is kind hearted and vibrant, Chamkeeli, on the other hand, is focused on gaining power and will go far to maintain her status in the haveli. Ishita Ganguly explained that although her character might seem negative, it is more complex and has many layers.
She explained, “There’s a lot to Chamkeeli than just a grey or negative character. She’s layered, complex and has her own reasons for doing what she does. It’s a refreshing change for me and I’m enjoying the process of portraying her. I’m very excited for my fans to see me play this role. It’s very different and new from what I’ve previously done.”
Other than Diksha Dhami and Ishita Ganguly, Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain also stars Sheel Verma, Jaya Ohjha, Ekta BP Singh, Gaurav Savita, Aashvi Bisht, Hina Bajpai, Aaryan Harnot, Pooja Somani, Kajal Singh, Sukesh Anand and Mamta Kapoor.
