Amitabh responded by revealing that he never focused on building muscles, and at the age of 83, he now prefers light exercises. He shared, “I never had muscles. Now I am 83, trainer said no matter what I do, I won’t have muscles. No matter how much I workout, pull machines, I don’t get muscles. But the next day, the entire body breaks. But I just walk and run a bit to stay fit at this age. I have just learnt to run.”
As Kaun Banega Crorepati marked its 25th anniversary, the makers celebrated a special silver jubilee episode. During the episode, Amitabh Bachchan reminisced about his initial doubts and how his family was opposed to him taking on the role of host for the show. He revealed he was nervous in the beginning, admitting, “The producers never noticed my heartbeat, and the camera didn’t catch my legs shaking on the first day. I had no idea what would happen. I decided to just speak whatever I had to say. I didn’t listen to them and still went ahead. And here I am, sitting in this chair for the past 25 years.”
Amitabh Bachchan has been associated with Kaun Banega Crorepati since its debut in 2000, except for the third season, where Shah Rukh Khan took over as host. To mark the show’s silver jubilee, the special episode also featured a memorable appearance by Harshvardhan Nawathe, the very first Crorepati from the show.
