Bigg Boss 18 fame Chum Darang continues to stay in the spotlight and capture hearts months after the show ended. While she’s yet to announce her next project, the actress stays connected with her fans through social media. Recently, Chum shared her admiration for director Reema Kagti’s Superboys of Malegaon. She couldn’t stop praising the film, especially the work of writer Varun Grover. She loved the dialogue, “Writer baap hota hai,” and called the film “amazing.” Chum shared that the film made her laugh and cry, as she was enjoying every moment. The Paatal Lok star didn’t forget to thank the talented cast and crew for their fantastic work.

Taking to Instagram stories, Chum shared a poster of Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora starrer and wrote, “Varun Grover, thank you for this amazing film. Laughed, cried and enjoyed every bit. Amazing cast and everything. Sachmen, ‘Writer baap hota hai’.”

Speaking about the particular dialogue, “Writer Baap hota hai,” in Superboys Of Malegaon, Varun Grover speaking with Bollywood Hungama said, “This line was not written. It was improvised. But it sits in the context of the movie. But is it true? I don’t think so, not in today’s industry. This is not true yet, it should be. There should be this much respect and there should be space for the writer. But it is not there now. It gets built up slowly, then it gets cancelled.”

“There was a time in between when Salim-Javed Sahab came when people started believing that the writer was indeed the baap. I hope that gradually writers will get that recognition as the star of the project. Yes, there are many films which get made even without a big star. They are made well and they also ran gradually. How many such stars have we seen? In the era before Rajkumar Rao, there was Irrfan Khan sahab,” Varun added.

The filmmaker explained that the idea for the film started from scratch. However, he was inspired by a 2012 documentary called Superman of Malegaon, made by Faisa Ahmed Khan. It was during this time that he was introduced to Farogh Jafri, the writer played by Vineet Kumar Singh in Superboys Of Malegaon. The filmmaker also shared that he had the chance to meet Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Nasir, the character played by Adarsh Gourav. During the meeting, Zoya asked him what kind of story he wanted to write.

Other than Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh and Shashank Arora, Superboys Of Malegaon also stars Anuj Singh Duhan, Riddhi Kumar and Saqib Ayub, among others.
