Celebrity MasterChef recently premiered on Sony TV with a slew of popular personalities such as Tejasswi Prakash and Gaurav Khanna on January 27. The show is being judged by Farah Khan, Vikas Khanna, and Ranveer Brar as celebs face new challenges in displaying their culinary skills. In the latest promo, we see Marathi actress Usha Nadkarni being schooled by the judges for her dish.
The latest teaser opens with Usha presenting her dish. Farah Khan asked, “What is it?” To this, Usha said that she had prepared fried chicken. However, the judges refuse to take a bite after cutting through it with a knife. When a confused Usha wanted to why they won’t taste, Chef Ranveer Brar said, “Pura kachha hain, hum khayenge toh bimar ho jayenge. (It’s completely raw, we will fall sick if we eat this.)”
Usha, in her defence, said that she had put a knife to ensure that the chicken was cooked. Farah Khan, who wasn’t happy with Usha’s answer, said that she must listen attentively when the chefs make their rounds and offer advice. To this, Usha replied, “Pehle bolna chahiye tha na.” Farah pointed out, “Aap sunte nahi ho kabhi kabhi.” (You don’t listen to us sometimes.)
The clip has been shared by the makers on Instagram. It was captioned, “Usha Tai’s fried chicken didn’t quite hit the mark. What went wrong? Don’t miss tomorrow’s episode!”
In another trailer, we see a tense atmosphere on the set when none of the contestants choose Archana Gautam during a group task. This leaves her feeling insulted. Later, Tejasswi Prakash was seen taking a dig at Archana. She says, “Tumhe unhone ne bhi select kiya nahi.” This upsets Archana who tells the Naagin actress in a sharp tone, “Main thook ke nahi chaatungi, Tejasswi. Samjhi tum?” Following this, Tejasswi asks Archana to “stop”.
Celebrity Masterchef features celebrities Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Nikki Tamboli, Abhijeet Sawant, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh, Chandan Prabhakar, and Gaurav Khanna. New episodes of the show air from Monday to Friday at 8 pm on Sony TV. It can also be streamed on the Sony Liv app.
