Entrepreneur Aman Gupta, co-founder of Boat, recently met Indian tennis legend Leander Paes. The duo played paddle together and the entrepreneur even expressed his excitement to have had Paes at his place. Following their hearty catch-up, Aman posted a photo on Instagram along with a short note. Laughing their hearts out, both Aman and Paes posed for an endearing click as the tennis legend rested his hands on the entrepreneur’s shoulder. They were dressed casually for the meeting.

The side note attached to the post read, “We played paddle, guess who won? Jokes apart, loved having you over bro. And you’ve made India proud and I’m a huge fan.”

Aman Gupta is currently busy judging the new season of Shark Tank India which premiered on January 6. Before the show’s debut, he made his way to a podcast alongside fellow judge Anupam Mittal. During his appearance at Dostcast, he recounted a disappointing encounter with one of his brand ambassadors. As per the entrepreneur, the actor who is known for being “sweet” and “humble”, displayed a starkly different attitude while working with his brand.

Aman said, “We had this actor as our brand ambassador. He was an extremely egoistic man. In the news, I had always heard good things about him. People only wrote that he is ‘sweet’, ‘nice’, ‘kind’, and ‘humble’… They often mentioned his good behaviour with the paps and his fans, they also wrote that ‘he travels in economy class’, but his attitude was the extreme opposite when he worked with us. This experience taught me that people today have mastered the art of being humble.”

Aman Gupta gained massive popularity after his stint in the popular business show, Shark Tank India. He is one of the OG ‘Sharks’ in the reality show. On the personal front, he is married to Priya Dagar with whom he tied the knot in 2008, and throughout their years of togetherness, they have been dishing out major couple goals. Interestingly, Priya currently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which proves her expertise in energy and environmental policy. Throughout her career spanning over 15 years, she also worked as a Research Associate at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Consultant at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
