Celebrity Masterchef has been a hit among viewers with interesting challenges and several popular faces. The culinary show includes a star-studded lineup of celebrities such as Nikki Tamboli, Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam and Faisal Shaikh displaying their culinary skills. Recently, claims of Dipika Kakar, one of the show’s favourite contestants quitting the show, owing to a health condition surfaced. Now, a report suggests that Shiv Thakare is set to replace the actress on the show.
According to a report by Tellychakkar, Shiv Thakare has been approached for appearing on the show as a wildcard entry. However, neither the makers nor Shiv himself have provided an official confirmation. The report also mentions that Shiv shares a strong bond with filmmaker Sajid Khan, the brother of the show’s host, Farah Khan. Speculations suggest that Shiv may become one of Farah’s favourites, once he joins.
Moreover, Dipika’s co-contestant Usha Nadkarni has confirmed her departure from the show owing to her health condition. Talking to Aaj Tak’s Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, the actress said, “Dipika ki tabiyat barabar nahi, uska kuch haath ka problem hai. Toh woh barabar nahi kar sakti isliye usne chhodh diya hai.” (Dipika’s health is not good, she has some problem with her hand. So, she can’t work properly.) Usha added that Dipika had been to the doctor before and was fine, that was why she returned. However, she has been facing difficulties again and has thus chosen to quit the show.
Dipika made her comeback on television with Celebrity MasterChef after a long hiatus, much to the delight of her fans. She has been impressing the judges on the show with her cooking talent so far.
Talking about Shiv Thakare, he began his career in the entertainment world by appearing on MTV Roadies Rising. Shiv rose to prominence after appearing on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2 in 2018. His good interpersonal skills helped him gain popularity, and he eventually won the trophy that year, solidifying his status as a renowned reality TV personality. Shiv Thakare continued to dominate the reality TV space after he appeared on Bigg Boss 16. He later appeared in Rohit Shetty’s stunt-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. He also showcased his dancing abilities by participating in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
