Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella extended his congratulations to the Indian cricket team following their victory against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025. The Indian team, led by Captain Rohit Sharma, secured a four-wicket win over the Black Caps in a closely contested final held in Dubai on Sunday, March 9.
Nadella, who is known for his love for cricket, applauded the Men in Blue for their performance on X, formerly Twitter.
“Congratulations to Team India on their incredible victory in the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand!” Nadella said.
He, at the same time, gave a special shoutout to two of the legends – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – who led the team to an unbeaten run chase.

Interestingly, Nadella congratulated the Indian team just minutes after India won the match. His post garnered over 10,000 likes in just 25 minutes and reached nearly 80,000 people.

Nadella was also pictured attending the highly anticipated India versus Pakistan men’s T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Nassau County Cricket Ground in New York, where he was seen sporting an Indian jersey, showcasing his personal connection to the team.
Nadella has openly expressed his passion for cricket on numerous public platforms, frequently sharing insights into how the sport has profoundly influenced his professional trajectory.
