GST collections hit ₹1.84 lakh crore in February, Tripura leads with 21% growth


Gross GST collections in February 2025 rose by 9.1% to approximately ₹1.84 lakh crore, according to official data released on Saturday. Net GST revenue for the month increased by 8.1% to about ₹1.63 lakh crore.

Domestic GST revenue stood at ₹1.42 lakh crore, reflecting a 10.2% rise from the previous year. GST revenue from imports grew by 5.4% to ₹41,702 crore.

Central GST collections amounted to ₹35,204 crore, while State GST collections stood at ₹43,704 crore. Integrated GST revenue totalled ₹90,870 crore, including ₹40,821 crore from imports. Compensation cess was ₹13,868 crore, with ₹880 crore coming from imports.

Refunds issued during the month increased by 17.3% to ₹20,889 crore. Domestic refunds rose by 23.4%, while refunds related to exports through ICEGATE grew by 11.4%.

State-wise, Haryana recorded a growth of 20%, followed by Tripura at 21%. Centre jurisdiction collections saw a 45% rise. However, Lakshadweep and Ladakh registered the sharpest declines at -55% and -46%, respectively.
