The world celebrated the festival of love yesterday, February 14. As love was in the air globally, the episode of Celebrity MasterChef was a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with love, surprises and challenges. In a new promo uploaded by Sony TV, the episode kicked off with the judges wishing the contestants a happy Valentine’s Day. Making the occasion even more special, Tejasswi Prakash bought a sweet surprise for the Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna. The actress addresses him as ‘Viku’ and presents him with a red rose, wishing him on Valentine’s Day.
But the biggest surprise was yet to come. Host Farah Khan announced a special twist on the love-filled day, prompting Dipika Kakar and Nikki Tamboli to turn around. To their surprise, they were greeted by their partners, Shoaib Ibrahim and Arbaz Patel, respectively. The two contestants were extremely happy seeing their love and they hugged them tightly.

Making the challenge a bit tougher, she challenged them to craft their unique version of the Croquembouche Cake.
The challenge proved to be a tough one. During the making of the dish, Ranveer Brar and the guest chef arrived at the contestant’s counter to review their cake. On Dipika’s counter, the chefs said that she was doing it wrong. Nikki Tamboli expressed her frustration over her cakes not sticking to the pyramid.
After a tense two hours of cooking, the judges, along with Chef Dhingra, tasted the contestants’ creations. Unfortunately, Abhijeet Sawant’s dish did not meet the judges’ expectations, leading to his elimination from the competition.
Coming to Celebrity MasterChef season 9, the cooking reality show premiered on January 27. Judged by filmmaker Farah Khan and chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, the show features a star-studded lineup including Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, Tejasswi Prakash, Rajiv Adatia, Gaurav Khanna, Usha Nadkarni, Archana Gautam, Nikki Tamboli, Ayesha Jhulka and Faisal Shaikh, aka Mr Faisu.
Following the elimination of comedian Chandan Prabhakar, contestant Abhijeet Sawant got evicted from the show this week. The culinary competition drops a new episode every Monday to Friday on Sony TV at 8 PM.
