NEW DELHI: South Africa have named Corbin Bosch as a replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje in their squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy later this month. Nortje was ruled out due to a recurring back injury that had sidelined him since last month.
Bosch, 30, made his international debut in December last year and has featured in just one ODI, where he scored an unbeaten 40 and claimed a wicket with his right-arm pace.

Additionally, South Africa have included fast bowler Kwena Maphaka as a traveling reserve. Both Bosch and Maphaka, along with batter Tony de Zorzi, will depart for Pakistan on Sunday to join the squad for the remainder of their ongoing ODI tri-series.
Last month, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed that Nortje would not recover in time for the Champions Trophy, which begins on February 19 in Pakistan and Dubai.
Nortje had previously missed the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India due to a stress fracture in his back.
Known for his pace, bounce, and variations, the 31-year-old has been a key figure in South Africa’s white-ball setup, taking 36 wickets in 22 ODIs and 53 wickets in 42 T20Is. His last ODI appearance was 15 months ago against Australia in Bloemfontein.
