One of the most successful TV shows, Anupamaa has fans hooked to the small screens for its intriguing plot, twists and turns. The drama intensified after the entry of Parag Kothari and family. Anupamaa, played by Rupali Ganguly, is now aware that Prem (Shivam Khajuria) is not an orphan and comes from a wealthy background. The last episode also saw Parag insulting Anupamaa as he bragged about his ‘status’. But, there’s a twist.
In a new promo released by the makers of the show, Parag Kothari and his family visit Anupamaa’s residence. Seeking an apology for their behaviour, the family proposes the wedding of Prem and Raahi, given their romantic involvement with each other. Moti Baa, Parag Kothari and wife Khyati Kothari, who have decided to prioritise the happiness of Prem, ask for Anu’s permission for their son to marry Raahi. This leaves everyone shocked, prompting Anu to think of the conspiracy behind the same, if any. Prem, too, looks in disbelief, witnessing the change in attitude of his father and speculating about what he is up to.
The promo has left fans with numerous questions – Will Anupamaa approve of Prem and Raahi’s marriage? How will she protect her daughter from Kotharis’ wicked plan? If she attempts to do so, will she become a villain to both Prem and Raahi?
Anupamaa is produced by Rajan Shahi. One of the most prominent shows on Indian Television now, the show remains on the top spot on the TRP chart. However, the last few weeks have witnessed a decline in its TRP ratings, bringing it to the fourth spot. With the upcoming twists, the show is expected to rise to the top spot again, currently secured by Udne Ki Aasha.
Rumours about Rupali Ganguly quitting the popular television show were also swirling on the Internet a few weeks back. It was reported that the actress will leave the show in the next three months due to a supposed 15-year leap in the storyline. Later, Rupali dismissed the reports of her exit from the show.
“Anupamaa is not just a show for me; it’s an emotion, it’s my home, my second home, all my fur babies are here, and the unit has become like a family. So, does anyone leave their family, their home? And God forbid, may it never happen in life. If Rajan Ji ever says that he doesn’t need me anymore, then I might fight with him, or argue, and say, ‘Please let me stay in Anupamaa,” she wrote, in an emotional message on social media.
