Deepika Singh, widely recognised for her role in the TV series Diya Aur Baati Hum, has made a remarkable comeback to television with the daily soap Mangal Lakshmi. Her performance has garnered widespread praise, while the show’s gripping twists and turns have captivated viewers. Recently, the show has been performing exceptionally well on the TRP charts and in a candid interview, Deepika shared her heartfelt reaction to this success.
Speaking to ETimes about the show’s strong TRP performance, Deepika expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am overwhelmed with emotions. After so many years, seeing such an amazing reaction from the audience feels incredible. I had been eagerly waiting for such a response and I’m so grateful to be part of this journey and to play Mangal.” She added fans have grown deeply attached to the character. When they learned about the rising TRP ratings, she thanked God for the remarkable moment.
Sharing about what the audience can expect ahead in the show, Deepika Singh stated, “The show will have many more major twists. With Adit and Mangal going to Sri Lanka, Mangal is receiving Adit’s support in a new country.” She promised that the plot is going to be “quite interesting.” She mentioned fans are overjoyed that Mangal and Adit have reunited. She is also excited to see how many fans enjoy their on-screen chemistry. She is also happy that the scenes written for them were so wonderful and even the cast is enjoying the track. She added, “As an actor, it is quite important to deliver all the shades of a character and fans have been accepting it. It is a big achievement that fans are loving our work and they have been constantly showering us with all the love.”

Deepika Singh portrays Mangal, her sister Lakshmi’s guardian and confidante. On the personal front, Deepika married Rohit Raj Goyal, the director of Diya Aur Baati Hum, in a private wedding ceremony in 2014. On May 20, 2017, the couple became parents with the birth of a newborn boy.
